Caring for your feet between pedicures
A salon pedicure leaves your feet soft and neat, but a little care at home keeps them that way for longer. A few gentle habits between visits go a long way.
Our feet quietly carry us through the whole day, yet they are often the last thing we think to look after. The good news is that keeping them soft and comfortable between salon visits takes very little effort once you have a simple routine in place.
The simple daily routine
Wash and dry your feet properly each day, paying attention to the skin between your toes, which is easy to miss. Then a rich moisturiser massaged into the heels and soles before bed keeps hard skin from building up. Cotton socks overnight help the cream sink in beautifully.
Once or twice a week, use a gentle foot file on dry skin to keep the heels smooth. Go lightly and little and often, rather than one heavy session, as that keeps the skin healthy instead of stripped.
Look after your toenails
Trim your toenails straight across rather than curved down at the corners, as this is the simplest way to avoid painful ingrown nails. If a nail is already sore or growing in, please do not dig at it at home. Our toe tidy is £20, and if a nail needs rebuilding, toenail reconstruction starts from £15.
Mind your gel pedicure
Gel polish on the toes holds its shine for weeks, which makes it a lovely low-maintenance choice (gel polish on the feet is £34, and a full gel pedicure is £45). Just give the colour a little time to settle after your appointment by wearing roomy, open shoes for the rest of the day where you can.
When to book back in
Most clients are happy coming back every four to six weeks. A pedicure with us is £43, or £50 if you would like it combined with toenail reconstruction. Regular visits keep small niggles from turning into bigger ones.
